Dr. GB Singh is an academic and industry leader with over two decades of experience in engineering, energy systems, and organizational strategy. He currently serves as Academic Director of the MS in Engineering Management and Leadership program at the University of San Diego, where he bridges academic insight with real-world application to prepare future engineering leaders.

Alongside his academic role, he is Director of Business Management at Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar company, where he leads global project execution across diverse energy portfolios. His previous roles have included senior leadership positions in Dubai, Singapore, and San Diego, reflecting a strong background in international operations and technical innovation.

Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, a B.S. in Instrumentation and Control from Pune University, and an MBA in Information Systems from South Gujarat University. He has also completed executive programs at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and the Disney Institute.

His research interests include hybrid power systems, renewable energy integration, and the operationalization of innovation in engineering-intensive sectors. Dr. Singh serves on the Corporate Affiliate Program board at UC San Diego and the Executive Advisory Board at the University of San Diego, where he contributes to curriculum development and industry-academic alignment.
